i want to watch world trade centre starring nicholas cage, directed by oliver stone, so badly! cant believe its only showing in s'pore in OCTOBER.

CONVERSATION BETWEEN MY MUM & ME
mum: look at these president scholars! (jabs finger at picture of president's scholars in newspaper) see, all of them have like leadership positions! see, if you want to get scholarship, you need to know how to be a leader.
me: you also need to be singaporean to be a president's scholar, & like get good grades & have three thousand cca points, while being student council president AND representing the school in something.
mum: that's not the point! you need to try to take a leadership position, even though you're obviously nowhere close to being qualified for a scholarship!
me: oh, i'm thinking of taking up LDP next year.
mum: national day parade?
me: no, leadership development programme, its only from january to april.
mum: (smiling) oh, good, good!
me: it's this programme, open to geppers, & basically we do community service stuff like raising funds and stuff.
mum: (smile widens) oh, good, good! go and join!
me: we work with people from other schools they randomly pick, so its ri, rg, hc, ac, etc and oh yeah nj-ip also.
mum: MEANS GOT GUYS? (eyes sparkle, and beams from ear-to-ear) GOOD, GOOD!

so i went to the library book sale @ expo today, reached there at 9.30 am! not bad right, but it was so darn crowded already. and being neither thin nor flexible, i had quite a workout trying to squeeze through tons of people while being jostled around and hitting people with my plastic bag of books. managed to get 4 wuxiaxiaoshuos, 2 by gulong and 2 by liangyusheng, so im a very happy person.

chuling was uber funny today, hahahaha she bought a SALSA BASICS dvd & then called me to say she has "two left feet & neither can dance!" so im going to her place in the sept hols & we'll work it out because i have two right feet. so spastic! i remember the perc people wanting to learn salsa and liangzhen asked me if i wanted to (i do suspect they were being polite because i was sitting there just watching them) and im like HAHAHAHA NO WAYS i mean i cant even touch my toes, expect me to dance harh? maybe after i lose some weight.

and i just realised that im idealistic.

my sister's going to get an electric drumpad for her birthday! which is in like october. cheers! we're such spoilt brats seriously, me especially. heh.

church tomorrow. i think i really need the sanctuary, to calm down & think & just pray, especially for the world, for Britain, for all the people who are living in doubt now (which is pretty much all of us, Christian or not).
